What is Baby Scream?
Baby Scream is the creation of Juan Pablo Mazzola, who is originally from Argentina but has travelled and performed in the UK, Germany and USA and has had CD releases in all those countries. Juan is the singer, songwriter and heart and soul of Baby Scream and his passion for writing and emotional (often deeply personal) lyrics are complemented by his very unique vocal style.
Genre and Influences:
Baby Scream’s sound is a mix of Classic Rock and Powerpop, sometimes acoustic and sometimes very electric, but there are very obvious influences of some of Juan's favourite artists including John Lennon, Marc Bolan, Paul Westerberg, Jellyfish, Mark Olson, The Jayhawks, Cheap Trick, Harry Nilsson, Big Star and Badfinger in Baby Scream's music.

eam's “Monsters” EP was released by German label ‘Beyond Your Mind Records‘ in 2007.
This 6 track EP beautifully showcased Juan's emotional and
diverse song writing talent.
Juan travelled around Europe and the USA promoting "Monsters", playing everywhere from an empty pub to a football match in a stadium in Norway for 5000 people.
This was fo
llowed in 2009 by the album "Ups And Downs", which was released on the USA label Recorded Recordings Records.
One of Baby Scream's most popular songs (having received radio airplay worldwide) is featured on this album - "The Riots" has had comments like "I thought someone had found an undiscovered John Lennon tape"!!
It also features Juan's cover of Paul Westerberg's "Skyway"
Juan also recorded some rare Marc Bolan songs which sadly didn't make it onto the album but maybe will be released one day (watch this space!)
The American label Recorded Recordings Records followed this release with the 7 track EP "Identity Theft" in January 2010.
This included 5 original songs written by Juan and produced by Muddy Stardust, plus a cover of Rinaldo Rafanelli’s “Ojos Orientales” and a cover of Mucho Mungo / Mt Elga (Written by John Lennon and Harry Nilsson).
Again it showcased the diversity of Baby Scream from acoustic ballad
s to the electric blues.
In December 2010 the self-titled "Baby Scream" album was released by UK label OK! Records.
This album had more of a classic 70's rock sound, and much of it was recorded in Los Angeles where Muddy Stardust again produced the tracks and also played guitar and sang backing vocals.
Juan was honoured when Eric Dover (Jellyfish, Sextus, Alice Cooper, Slash's Snakepit) joined them on “The Ghosts Of Valerie” playing lead guitar and backing vocals.
A very prolific artist, Juan has just completed the next Baby Scream release: an album titled "Secret Place" released by Argentinean label Eternal Sunday Records.
