Ben plays bass in his brother Joseph Swidenbank's band and also does regular guest and session work including gigs with Mark Joseph.

Background

Ben comes from a musical family, and it was no surprise that he took up guitar, like his dad. Ben's first love is bass guitar which he plays in the bands he plays with including brother Joe's band, and with his dad in Irish folk rock band Grafton Street.

Solo work

Ben also writes and occasionally plays solo acoustic gigs, and has played variouys venues around Bedfordshire, the South of England, and Wales.

Song-writing:

Ben describes his songs as "honest and heartfelt".

Gigs:

Ben has played in bands supporting Ocean Colour Scene, The Who, The Buzzcocks, The Undertones, has been on MTV with good friend Mark Joseph (and appears playing bass in Mark's video for "Bringing Back Those Memories") and has played gigs and festivals of all sizes and as diverse as an Irish wake and Brixton Academy in the space of 2 days!

First solo recording:

Ben's first solo song "Girl (Leave That Animal Tonight)" has been played on radio stations in the UK and USA.
